Black-tailed Brush Lizard

The Black-tailed Brush Lizard is found from Alder Canyon in northern San Diego County to Cabo San Lucas at the tip of the Baja California peninsula. This species is found on both the Pacific and Gulf versants, but is absent from the Vizcaíno peninsula. The Black-tailed Brush Lizard is found on islas Ballena, Carmen, Cayo, Coronados, Danzante, El Coyote, El Requesón, Espíritu Santo, Gallina, Gallo, Gaviota, Islitas, Las Ánimas, Pardo, Partida Sur, San Cosme, San Damián, San Francisco, San José, San Marcos, and Tijeras in the Gulf of California and islas Magdalena and Santa Margarita in the Pacific Ocean.
